BRUBECK has been the Official Technical Partner of the Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service (GOPR) since 2020. GOPR has been operating continuously since 1952, providing assistance in mountainous areas: in rocks, mountain caves, rivers, and other hard-to-reach places, to people whose health or life is at risk. GOPR rescuers often face extreme weather conditions while saving human lives and health, which is why they need the best protection during rescue operations and expeditions. BRUBECK is the Official Technical Partner of the Polish Mountaineering Association (PZA). PZA was established in 1974 and is a federation of clubs and sections that bring together mountaineers, cavers, high-altitude skiers, and sport climbers. On the international stage, the Polish mountaineering organization has been known since 1932 as a founding member of the Union Internationale des Associations d’Alpinisme (UIAA) and as a member of the Union Internationale de Speleologie (UIS). PZA coordinates sports and training activities, organizes national expeditions, grants instructor qualifications, engages in nature conservation, and accident prevention.
PIOTR PUSTELNIK
PHD of chemical engineering, mountaineer, and high-altitude climber. Founder of the ‘Three Crowns’ project. He is the third Polish climber and the twentieth in the world to have climbed all 14 peaks over 8000m above sea level. This great achievement was completed with the climing of Annapurna. For this incredible achievement, he was awarded the ‘Super Kolos 2010’ prize in 2011. He is also a recipient of the Explorer award, which is given to outstanding individuals in the field of exploration. In May 2016, he became the president of the Polish Mountaineering Association.
ARTUR MIŚKIEWICZ
Mountain biking athlete, who has represented Poland multiple times on the international stage, winner of 5 gold medals at the Polish Championships, and champion in many prestigious downhill races! His excellent athletic preparation helps him endure the hardships of the most rugged downhill tracks without superhuman effort, which is required throughout the long season. Arczi, his nickname, is known for his technique, unique style, and incredibly consistent stamina. BRUBECK’s thermoactive clothing has accompanied him on his championship journey for many years.
JOANNA MILLER
Motocross racer, whose strength of character and perseverance have led her to many successes. On the national stage, she is unmatched, earning the nickname ‘Queen of the Track.’ She represents the country in the biggest competitions worldwide. She became the first Polish woman to compete in the World Championships in this field. She competes with men without any complexes, gaining valuable experience.
KAROL KARPIERZ
Ski mountaineer. The athlete has participated in many high-altitude skiing competitions both in Poland and internationally. He is a medalist of the Polish Championships in Ski Mountaineering, winner of the Połoniny Cup, and has reached the podium in the Polish Cup in Ski Mountaineering. He has been practicing this sport since 2011. He competed in the prestigious four-day alpine Pierra Menta race, which is considered the most prestigious competition in high-altitude skiing. He represented Poland at the World Championships in Switzerland as a member of the national team and has repeatedly completed the long and demanding Bokami Zapadnych Tatier race in Slovakia. He has frequently placed on the podium in numerous ski mountaineering competitions.
PAWEŁ KOSEK
Polish athlete specializing in long-distance and ultramarathon running. He represents the country on the international stage. Winner of the 42nd PZU Orlen Marathon.
RAFAŁ AUGUSTYN
Polish athlete, race walker. Gold medalist at the Polish Senior Championships in the 50-kilometer walk (2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020). Participant in many World Cups, European Cups, and the Olympic Games in London and Beijing.
