GOPR – Mountain Rescue
BRUBECK Official Partner of the Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service
Who is GOPR?
BRUBECK has been the Official Technical Partner of the Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service (GOPR) since 2020. GOPR has been operating since 1952, providing assistance in mountains, caves, rocks, mountain rivers, and difficult-to-access areas to people whose health or life is at risk. To become a GOPR rescuer, one must undergo intensive training and pass qualifying exams, making them a specialised rescue unit.
Rescuers prevent accidents in the mountains and protect the mountain environment, often using mountaineering techniques, off-road vehicles, or helicopters. They train and cooperate with other services to do this as effectively as possible. The area secured by GOPR covers the Polish mountain ranges from the Karkonosze Mountains through the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland to the Bieszczady Mountains, with a total area of 20,410 km², including over 7,000 km of tourist trails. Despite the voluntary nature of the organisation, they are professionals who provide a sense of security to hundreds of thousands of people 365 days a year.
They often face extreme weather conditions while saving lives, so they need the best protection during their missions. Brubeck thermoactive clothing and merino wool garments guarantee proper body protection in all conditions.
